okay you can't see the title of this post but it's "am i suffering from african sleeping sickness??"

i woke up at 2 today to go out and eat yummmmmzzz dimsum with shun which we managed to find after walking around :D and its was REAL GOOD(: and so was the company of course but it was waaayy too short ):

and then i went home to take a nap before eating a bit of dinner and ice cream. and now it's not even 11pm and i'm feeling sleepy again.

but then i can't be having african sleeping sickness because house says that the only way to get it is by having sex with an infected african man or by having sex with someone who has had sex with an african man or someone who has had sex with someone who had sex with an african man. but well, you get the point.

i hope i dont feel like this tomorrow because tmr's girls' night out with my fav ppl (:

heehee i'm so hungry now! i was looking at very tantalising dimsum pictures from this no-frills place i can't wait to check it out tomorrow!

and while searching for how to get there, i realised how absolutely tiny singapore is! i mean this place is about 0.3 km away from city hall mrt, 0.6 km away from bugis and dhoby ghaut mrt and 0.7km away from little india mrt. HAHA

1. yday was one of those days when i get flustered about some stupid silly thing which got me feeling down. and then my friend just said to me : look, it's actually very simple. all you have to do is __________.

and i realised how often i let this shit happen to me. because everytime something bad happens i'd get all panicky and flustered. and i usually feel like ive gotten myself in deep shit.

and being me, what do i do? i run away from the problem. i shut it out, pretend it didnt happen/ doesnt exist. and in the event that i find a solution/ know that there is one, i'm too bei4 dong4 to actually do anything about it. which often ends up in things being blown out of proportion. or me suffering unnecessary anguish zz. and eventually when everything is solved (because everything usually works out in the end), i'd ask myself: why didnt you just do this from the start? but yet i never learn my lesson.

this is the big problem of letting my heart rule my head. i think i "feel" too much for my own good. and i think i've said this before- sometimes i really feel like those gu-niangs in the period dramas who just live life as it is laid out for them, expecting others to take the initiative and going with the flow. ohwells maybe i should stop letting everything/ some people get to me too much.


2. on the other hand, i really HATE it when some people have to ask me about particular things. because i mean, if i want to tell you i would. if there's nothing to tell i wont say anything. and it's very irritating when you say things suggestively cos HELLO it doesnt help in making me feel anything better. or are you trying to rub it in my face???


3. ohwell i wanted to say it explicitly but angel said that i'll get a lot of backlash haha. but i really don't understand. maybe it's cos i'm not one of them. i was going to say yet, but now the more i think about it, it's leaning towards never now.


4. hoho i'm feeling like a friendless hermit again this week! i think it'll be horrible come august when school starts for everyone. already now with camps i feel like we're starting to embark on different lives. and it only looks like a downward spiral from here. i hope i'm proven wrong.

despite everyone trying to cheer me up by saying "life doesn't suck!" and "think of everyone else who's life sucks more than yours!", nothing cheers me up more than hanging out with some of my favourite friends.

so on monday, shiya oli and i met first at parkway to shop for karen's present, but we took ages cos we kept getting distracted by food heh (BTW EVERYONE JOLLIBEAN'S AWESOME ICE BLENDED DRINKS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT ALL THEIR OUTLETS EVERYONE SHOULD TRY THEM I'VE HAD 4 IN THE LAST WEEK HAHA!) so yeah we decided on guess heels in the end despite the old superstition haha but we were kiasu anyway and made karen return us 1 buck each hahaha! ohya so after angel met us at parkway (after getting cheated by the taxi uncle who made a detour to near the airport haha), oli fetched us to ecp to meet pris to cycle! and unfortunately, angel and i mean less to oli than her bicycle ): so while the bicycle grandly occupied the second row of seats, angel and i were relegated to the back row (and oli even tried making us climb through the boot to get in haha) but yes after that we finally went to rent bikes!

being the shit cheapos we were, we decided to rent the tandems because it was $8/2 = $4 as opposed to $6 for a bicycle each. shit we are the ultimatezzz man. so yeah we cycled to some jetty, camwhored and cycled back.

after that we proceeded to JUMBO seafood restaurant (once again by virtue of oli's car, this time with pris angel and me in the back row once again) where we waited patiently for the bday girl to come :D

so HELLO TIN(WO)MAN HOPE THE SEAFOOD FEAST WAS UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS (:

and after that it was near midnight but angel and i decided to walk back to my house since she was sleeping over. and since angel was so excited about being all delinquentish we proceeded to hang around my estate till it was 1 plus before going home or sth. and then we bathed and talked till like 6plus am or sth when my maid and brother woke up to get ready for sch oops.

woke up at 2 and then rushed down to OC cos i had worked and the two of us gobbled up mos in ten minutes haha before i had to go to work and the job was as sleazy as i expected HOHO.

heh and this is my hamsum brother who i watched transformers with. actually i laughed at him after we took this picture HAHA LOOK HE HAS THE BOWL HAIRCUT! hahahaha

harry potter today wasnt all that great ): they cut out so much! and all the PDA was shit cos lavender and ginny are both so gross haha. but i missed the first 2 minutes of the show or sth cos lina and i couldnt really wake up in the morning to be on time haha.

anyway ALL IS GOOD.

damns life has hit a low patch once again. but i guess after it goes down down down the only way it can go is up. and what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger. (does it really)

haha at SAM just now jiaks and i saw this thing about how waiting is one of the necessary things in life or sth along those lines. and we both just said "i hate waiting" simultaneously. because waiting almost always brings disappointment.

i wanna be part of a korean girlband! look at them they look like dolls! going "gee gee gee gee BA PO" haha or dancing to nobody but youuuu!

but then again, i AM part of a girlband :D and to me it's the best girlband everrrr <333

the above photo belongs to the one saturday night when we were high and crazy playing stupid drinking games in the lounge and singing karaoke by blasting ipods with the mike haha. and when i nearly died cos i worked 4 days in a row haha.

and there was loads of other stuff, like going out with the usual ppl and best of all THE SURPRISE at my aunt's house which was cherie jiejie hiding in a cupboard to spring on me haha (: and then dinner on friday was yummz at my auntie's house but too bad melanie fell sick and we couldnt spring the surprise on her zz ): but yay cousins ftw (:

and then there was 2a2b sleepover, where the photos are on fb! gosh i can't imagine being overseas in a few months and unable to have them ): all the silly things we do and say, like decorating jiak's sister's cupcakes and laughing at all our designs hahaha and kboxing and bday surprises and stuff (: i'll maybe blog about it when i get the photos and upload (:

zz this is not meant to be. i came online with a very strong craving to blog (since the weekend) but then firstly, i had work till like 1/4 am (okay fine the 4am night was because we were playing around in the lounge, getting high and blasting ipods and karaoke-ing), then my modem was down for a few days and then blah blah blah and when i finally have the time to sit down and blog i can't upload photos which totally ruins the effect. but whatever screwy technology is not going to affect memories of the fun i've had the past few weeks and the exciting things that are about to come!
